BETHPAGE “BALLAS” RECAP!!

BETHPAGE+BALLAS+RECAP%21%21

As the 2023–2024 winter season comes to an end, the Bethpage girls varsity basketball team secures a spot in the playoffs. Needing an equal or more wins than losses ratio, the Ballas finished off the season with a record of 8-6 in league games. After the game against Bellmore JFK, the girls won with a score of 61-52. Captain and Star player of the game, Ava Thomaidas dropped 20 points against the Cougars. Thomaidas “felt confident and drove to the basket” which ultimately led the Ballas to victory.

Hard work and dedication has never been an issue for the BHS BALLAS. Head coach Robert Fisher felt that throughout the whole season the team “worked hard, got better as the year went on and learned from [their] mistakes.” Although this is only Coach Fisher’s second time coaching girls varsity basketball both those teams have made it to the playoffs.

Good luck in the playoffs girls!!
