Don Toliver performed at UBS Arena last Tuesday, the 26th for his Octane Arena Tour. SahBabii, SoFaygo, and Chase B were the openers at UBS. They performed for about two hours until they brought out Don Toliver.
The arena had great special effects like fire while he was performing. He performed his new songs from his new album, Octane, while also singing his most popular, and a few older songs. He used massive stage production while he used a genre of crime and sci-fi that demonstrates classic storytelling with heavily saturated visuals.
Don Toliver’s most popular song, E85, was a big hit across the world. He played this song twice while one of them being his opening song in which he added a jazz opening to the song. This reflected the beat of an R&B song “Chest Pain (I Love)” by Malcolm Todd. The entire Arena was screaming for this song and everyone had been waiting for that moment.
Senior Isabella Brady says, “This concert was the best one that I have been to by far. The vibe was really fun and singing along with everyone was really enjoyable!!”
Unfortunately, at UBS Don Toliver did not bring out any special guests, but at Madison Square Garden the week after, he brought out Malcolm Todd where they sang “Chest Pain (I Love)” and “E85.” This was very fun to watch since it showed Todd’s original indie record and the transformation that Don Toliver used for “E85.” He also brought out SZA at MSG where they sang “Used” from her 2022 album SOS.
Don Toliver still has 29 performances left on his Octane Tour in which he is soon traveling internationally to Hong Kong and New Zealand once his U.S. tour is over.
