NEWS BRIEFS!!!

Clubs

  1. SPEC will be meeting in room 151 TODAY. ALL ARE WELCOME.
  2. Science National Honor Society meeting for all members TODAY, right after school.
  3. The first Freshman Class meeting will be held on Friday, September 15th after school at 2:30 in Room 202. 
  4. The interest meeting for yearbook club is canceled
  5. Music students who would like to join the BHS Jazz Band, please come to an informational meeting at 3 PM TODAY, in Room 129. If you play drums, piano, guitar, bass, woodwinds, or brass instruments, please attend! If you have any questions, please contact Dr. Kay in Room 129. 
  6. The first meeting of the National Honor Society will be held Monday Sept. 18th at 2:40 pm in the Little Theater.  All candidates who applied are expected to attend.
  7. Stage Crew will have a general interest meeting after school on Tuesday, September 19th, in Room 252.  All are welcome.  See Mr. McCourt with any questions.
  8. There will be a robotics meeting next Friday, September 19th at 2:45 in room 108. All new and returning members are welcome.
  9. Anyone interested in joining this year’s fall production of “Harvey”, auditions are today in the auditorium at 3:30! All are welcome! 

Sports

  1. First night of Tryouts for the Ice Hockey team is Tuesday, September 19th.  
  2. The Girls Varsity soccer team CRUSHED Calhoun by a score of 4-1, with Jadyn Hsu scoring the hat trick and FRESHMAN Megan Rebosa with her first varsity goal. And shout out to Sofia Maciel Seidman for shutting down the competition in net.
  3. Boys Varsity football looks to SHUT DOWN the southside cyclones in their game tonight at 6.
  4. And boys volleyball plans to hammer Hewlett at 6:45. 

Announcements

  1.  Any Senior that filled out the Google form for Senior privileges should pick up their pass in the main office prior to leaving for lunch or 9th period today.
  2. The Fall Driver’s Ed schedule is posted outside the AP office.  Anyone who signed up needs to check both the Lecture and Driving schedules.  Payment is due by TODAY Friday, September 15.  Please stop in the AP office for information about payment.
