The Eagle’s Cry Reviews: The Eras Tour Film

The Eagles Cry Reviews: The Eras Tour Film

This past weekend, almost everyone could proudly say they were “lost in a film scene.”

Singer and songwriter, Taylor Swift, just released her new film  “Taylor Swift:The Eras Tour” based on her world tour called “The Eras Tour.” It is a compilation of all ten of Taylor’s eras, or albums: Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore and Midnights.

Each album is curated to have a specific look and meaning. Taylor plays songs from each of her albums with completely different outfits and staging during her concerts. She put all of this into a movie, making it unlike any other!

Moviegoers were bejeweled and glammed up in all different eras of Taylor Swift. Popcorn flew through the air as everyone jumped out of their seats, dancing and singing at the top of their lungs to Taylor’s songs.

It was truly an experience to remember. If you weren’t lucky enough to attend one of her enchanting concerts yet, this movie felt as close as you can get. This reporter’s favorite part was the Reputation era, and feels that there should’ve been more songs performed from the album Speak Now. There were between 4-6 songs from each of Taylor’s albums, but only one song from Speak Now

Elizabeth Trimarco, a freshman at BHS, loves how many people were dressed up and knew all the words to every song. She feels that the movie made it seem as if you were actually there, at her concert.

Another freshman at BHS was happy to hear a majority of her favorite songs being played, but wishes the song “Cardigan” wasn’t cut from the movie. As a big Taylor Swift fan, this freshman loved the experience, even though she has not yet been able to see one of her concerts live.

The Eras Tour is truly mind-blowing! Whether you’re a Taylor Swift fan or not, this film definitely had an effect on everyone. So, if you were able to see this movie in the theaters, or are planning to “Capture it, Remember it” because you’ll never forget it!
