NEWS BRIEFS!!!

Clubs

  1. The Global Cultural Club will be meeting today after school in room 220A. All are welcome.
  2. There will be an art club meeting today after school.
  3. The gelato sale take-2 today, October after school and the Italian club will meet in room 228 after school as well. 
  4. The Italian club gelato is Friday after school, 4 dollars a cup. 

Sports

  1. Last night at Mitchel field, the BHS Marching band and Kicklines performed their halftime show, “Light up the Night” in the annual Newsday Marching Band Festival. Led by drum majors Matthew Schneider, Miraj Shah, Ryan O’Connell, and Daniela Cross, and Kickline Captains Nicole Mercer, Jessica Olanick, Ciara Richmond and Ashley Shnabel, their performance was stunning! You can see them one more time during the final home football game of the season. 

Announcements

  1. SUNY College of Technology at Delhi will be visiting the counseling center today at 9:00am & PACE University, NYC Campus will be visiting at 11:30 am.
  2. If you have not signed up and are interested in meeting with Farmingdale State,  please check with your classroom teacher first. Interested Seniors can sign in under Rep Visits in Naviance for any upcoming school visits.
  3. Attention all juniors! Please pick up a class ring packet during your lunch period in Cafeteria B to bring home to your family. The class ring representative will be coming to our school on Tuesday October 31st and Wednesday November 1st for you to order your rings. If you do not have a lunch period, please stop by the main office for your packet. If you have any questions please see Ms. Kugler in room114 or stop by the Main Office.
  4. Student Council is sponsoring a Halloween Scavenger Hunt which will be held after school on Monday, October 30th. First prize is $100 cash. Information about the scavenger hunt and about registering to play  was sent out to everyone’s google accounts so get your team together and sign up online today!

Lori Novik
Lori Novik is currently a junior who loves reading and music at Bethpage High School. They are members of The Eagle’s Cry, the Art Club, Masquerer’s Guild, and Students United. In their free time, they enjoy listening to music and sketching in their notebook. He enjoys endlessly ranting about old movies, pop culture, and books (specifically the ones they constantly read over and over again). They look forward to spending the year writing for The Eagle’s Cry. You´ll find them talking to their lovely friends (who love bullying them), mindlessly scrolling through twitter, and drawing on random sheets of homework.
Tara Gyaltsen
Tara is currently a sophomore at BHS and it is her 2nd year writing for the Eagles Cry. She is a member of the Red Cross Club, Student Council, Students United, and Newspaper Club. Her favorite song is About You by The 1975. She is on the tennis and badminton teams. Her favorite movie is either Shrek 2 or Ratatouille.  
Lauren Como
Lauren Como is a sophomore in Bethpage High School, and a reporter for the school’s newspaper, Eagle’s Cry. She enjoys writing immensely and hopes to someday be a journalist/author. Her favorite author is J.R.R. Tolkien and favorite book series is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Maas.
