Bryanna Ackerman is a Bethpage High School graduate and has recently graduated from High Point University. Bryanna has continued to stay in Bethpage and works at Central Boulevard Elementary School! Bryanna has a very special story and continues to share her love towards Bethpage. She has worked so hard to make it to where she is now and graciously shares her journey of growing with us!
The Eagle’s Cry: If your life had chapters, what would this current chapter be called and why?
Bryanna Ackerman: “This current chapter would be called the figuring it out chapter. I just graduated college and got my new job and am really starting to figure it all out.”
The Eagle’s Cry: What’s something you believed strongly a few years ago that you’ve completely changed your mind about?
Bryanna Ackerman: “When I was younger, I believed that everything had a specific time and place. Now I am realizing what’s more important is how you get there and what journey you take. I really learned specifically that it is better sometimes to create your own path.”
The Eagle’s Cry: When do you feel most like yourself?
Bryanna Ackerman: “I feel the most like myself when I am around the people that love me and the people I love the most. For example my friends and my family.”
The Eagle’s Cry: What’s a small moment in your life that had a surprisingly big impact on you?
Bryanna Ackerman: “I feel like it was choosing what college to go to. The small conversations with others were so important in my life. It was a feeling of having to choose for the first time something for myself with no other opinions.”
The Eagle’s Cry: If you could master any skill instantly, what would it be and what would you do with it?
Bryanna Ackerman: “I wish that I could understand and speak every language. I would want to do this specifically so I could understand every single person on planet earth.”
The Eagle’s Cry: What kind of environment makes you feel the most at peace?
Bryanna Ackerman: “A calm environment with all my favorite things. Especially with my favorite people like my friends and family.”
The Eagle’s Cry: Who has influenced the way you see the world the most?
Bryanna Ackerman: “My parents for sure because they shaped me into who I am today. Especially my mom because I see a lot of myself in her and she inspires me everyday.”
The Eagle’s Cry: What’s something you wish more people understood about you?
Bryanna Ackerman: “Definitely my humor. I wish that more people would understand my sarcasm.”
The Eagle’s Cry: If money and expectations didn’t matter, how would you spend your time?
Bryanna Ackerman: “I would stay on a beach because I love it there. If I could choose a place it would be on a beach in Aruba.”
The Eagle’s Cry: What’s a risk you took that you’re really glad you did?
Bryanna Ackerman: “Going to school in North Carolina. I think this was the biggest risk because it was very far and seemed so scary at first but it definitely was a good decision for me and paid off a lot in the end. I am very happy that I did it.”
The Eagle’s Cry: What does a “perfect day” look like for you from start to finish?
Bryanna Ackerman: “Waking up and going to the beach to see the sunrise. Going to the diner and getting breakfast. Coming home and seeing my friends and then getting Chopt for lunch. Then coming back home and working out for a little. To end the night watching tv and then laying in bed until I fall asleep.”
The Eagle’s Cry: What’s one question you wish people asked you more often?
Bryanna Ackerman: “I wish more people asked me what kind of music I like because I really like my music taste and I wish more people knew that about me.”
