As it gets closer to the end of the school year, students have had to make hard decisions. We have interviewed BHS students asking whether or not they chose to stay home or go away for their future education. This goes for Juniors who are still deciding and seniors who have made their final decision
Rose Cashell, a junior at BHS, said, “I want to go away for college because I think that is what will best help me branch out into new experiences and to meet new people.” Rose stating this helps show students on the fence of the new possible adventures one can endure from going away to college. It shows getting out of your comfort zone is the way to go to ultimately meet the new best version of yourself and others.
Gianna Melisi, a junior at BHS, said, “I want to go away for college because I think it will be super helpful for me to become independent and meet new people along the way.” Gianna saying this shows how some students are excited and can’t wait to experience a change. Independence is a big and moving away from college is a huge start.
Chase Solliday, a senior at BHS, said, “I think staying home is personally best for me because I would like to stay close to family and I like that they can come and watch my lacrosse games.” Chase saying this, shows that staying home for some may be the best option for those that already found their comfort place.
Payton Bromberg, a senior at BHS, said, “I know that I already have all my needs and wants at home and feel that there is no reason to move away for an education.” Payton saying this shows that some students don’t see a reason in leaving home and have comfort in not leaving for school.
These students show the true reasons behind some wanting to stay home and some wanting to go away. We wish the seniors the best of luck whether that’s at home or miles away.
