Welcome to our first “A Day in The Life” article!
In this series, we will be exploring the daily lives of many types of BHS students. Whether it’s a student athlete, drama student, or someone who’s trying to survive their AP classes, we’re all experiencing every day differently.
This article will focus on Paridhi Miglani, a junior at BHS who plans to major in finance after graduating high school. Here is what a typical day looks like in her eyes:
5:00 a.m. – The day begins early for Paridhi. She wakes up and starts her morning routine to set the tone for a productive day.
6:00 a.m. – Paridhi heads to the gym for an hour-long workout.
7:00 a.m. – After the gym, she begins getting ready for school.
7:30 a.m – 2:30 a.m. – Her day is packed with numerous classes, a few relating to her future career goals. One of her classes is Virtual Enterprise, where she serves as the Vice President of Accounting. This class gives students real-world business experience, from building a collaborative work environment to participating in job-style interviews. In her accounting role, Paridhi gains experience with financial software and learns about tax forms like the W-3 and 4941. Another key part of her class schedule is AP Psychology. She said “Psychology is very useful in business because understanding people is essential to understanding how businesses operate.”
2:30 – 3:00 p.m. – Paridhi spends time in two after-school clubs:
- Investment club and Internship club on Thursday
- Global Cultural Club on Friday
5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. – Paridhi then works in the evenings at Starbucks (yes, she’s busy).
After 11:00 p.m. – Finally, she comes home and gets some well-earned sleep….before doing it all again the next day.
