Recently, there has been some controversy on TikTok about a pearl halter top with a black bow on it. This halter top blew up in December of 2025, leaving content creator @taraswrld canceled. 

Tara asked her followers on TikTok if anyone had the halter top because she “had plans for it” and it was sold out everywhere. One of the girls following her said she had it and would give it to her by Ubering it to her house. However, the follower stopped answering because she has a full time job as a nurse and Tara absolutely freaked out, calling her a “hater.” A lot of people on TikTok were hating on Tara saying regular people have jobs and don’t post videos for money. 

Followers of the story also think Tara should have just found the top online and bought it instead of asking people because Tara has plenty of money. After this controversy, Tana Mongeau posted a video in the top which Tara responded to. Tara considered Tana as a fan but was extremely upset in her actions. 

Senior Gabby Russo said, “I think that the whole thing was blown out of proportion and it was a little more dramatic then it had to be”

Junior Madysen Lopez said, “I think she was being very dramatic. You’re really complaining about a halter top and your followers that gave you a halter top? That’s crazy.”

Most people do think that this situation was crazy, and it should not have gotten this out of hand.
