After the major success of the beloved 2024 movie-musical Wicked, the wicked witch and the girl in the bubble are back for part 2!
Wicked: For Good was released in theatres on November 21, 2025, after long anticipation. Whether fans dressed in comfortable attire or in full green-face, it has crossed over $500 million in the box office with a film budget of $150 million. The sequel has ranked 66% for Rotten Tomatoes and 93% by the Popcornmeter. Fans of the franchise have mixed reviews regarding the new movie.
Being a proud Wicked fan herself, Junior Danielle Betwinek gives her honest review on the movie: “I believe it is a heartwarming story that teaches us that we are not limited by judgement. I thought Ariana Grande did a wonderful job of portraying Glinda’s character development from a jealous and judgmental individual to someone who is proud of others for their achievements.”
Senior Julia Steele thought “they could have made it a little bit shorter, but it was very good.”
Junior Gabby Alava is proud to admit, “I loved it so much. I cried during For Good, I watched it 20 times now and I’m obsessulated.”
Mrs. McMullan shares her controversial opinion: “I thought Wicked 1 was so much better. I think something was wrong with the lighting in Wicked: For Good and they made Ariana look dreary. For Good was a tear jerker. But honestly I thought they casted wrong and I think the wizard should’ve been someone else. Michelle Yeoh can not sing, she was Madame Horrible.”
Ms. Flanagan shares that “It was so good. I cried so much more in Wicked: For Good.”
Junior Elizabeth Trimarco agrees that “I cried so many times. And they nailed it by casting Fiyero.”
