It’s that time of year! Old and new Christmas drinks hit the Starbucks menu. These drinks are adored worldwide. Along with the drinks, comes new festive foods that will put you in the Christmas spirit. TEC presents the explanation that will help you choose your Christmas special:
Peppermint Mocha:
The peppermint mocha is an espresso with steamed milk, mocha syrup, with a hint of peppermint. It can be served hot or iced and is the top rated Starbucks Christmas drink. It’s topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings.
Caramel Brulée Latte:
The caramel brulée latte contains espresso with steamed milk, and caramel brulée latte. This can also be served hot or iced and gives a sweet dessert-like taste in their coffee. It’s topped with whipped cream, caramel brulée bits and caramel drizzle.
Sugar Cookie Latte:
The sugar cookie latte is a blonde espresso latte with 2% milk and sugar cookie syrup. It is topped with red and green sprinkles and available hot, cold, or in a frappuccino blend. BHS student Rose Cashell stated, “The sugar cookie latte is like Christmas in a cup.”
Iced Gingerbread Chai:
The Iced Gingerbread Chai contains warmed chai spices with creamy 2% milk and ice. It is topped with gingerbread cold foam and spices that give a Christmas feel. BHS student Gianna Melisi expressed, “Gingerbread chai latte is my favorite.” Along with the drinks comes BHS favorite treats from the Christmas menu.
New Cinnamon Pull Apart:
Warm and flaky croissant with sprinkled cinnamon-sugar. It’s nestled together and topped with crunchy streusel to pull apart one bite at a time. BHS student Brianna Dagro exclaimed, “The Cinnamon Pull Apart wasn’t my favorite but definitely giving Christmas.”
Snowman Cookie and Polar Bear Cake Pop:
Both of these items are very liked by many. The Sugar cookie is a vanilla flavored cookie, topped with a white chocolate coating. The cookie is very similar to the cake pop as it is a vanilla cake covered by white Chocolate as well. The difference between the two is one has a snowman look while the other has a Christmas Polar Bear look.
Sugar Plum Cheese Danish:
Lastly, one other fan favorite is the Danish pastry filled with a light and fluffy cream cheese filling. It is lightly topped with a spiced sugar-plum spread adding a sense of warm festive fruity spices.
