Magic of Lights at Jones Beach
With the holidays just around the corner, many people are getting in the spirit by decorating with holidays lights around their houses. Many of these houses will open up to visitors who want to pass by to see their house lights in sync with the music if you tune into the accommodating radio station. Although house lights are common around this time of year, Jones Beach introduced a new light show for long islanders to drive through from the comfort of their own cars.
From November 16th to December 30th, at Jones Beach State Park, they offer a light show: The Magic of Lights for the enjoyment of all families around Long Island. It’s open everyday for all to see. They also offer pictures with Santa, a theatre for holiday movies and a lounge area that offers hot chocolate.
The general admission for the weekday in a standard vehicle is $25.00 Monday through Thursday. On Friday and Saturday, it’s $30.00. But if you’re planning ahead and want to pre-order your tickets, it’s only $20.00 for any date ( weekend or weekday ) for a standard vehicle.
Justin Saldana, who went to the Jones Beach light show last weekend described his experience as “ more than he expected it to be “ and it “really evoked the feeling of the holidays” when he was there.
