What’s Up With Wordplay?

Whats+Up+With+Wordplay%3F

Do you want to play with words and push your mental limits? Consider enrolling in Wordplay as an elective. Mr. Malossi, a teacher and advisor to The Eagle’s Cry, presents entertaining films like “Good Will Hunting” and “Akeelah and the Bee” and teaches amusing word puzzles both online and in writing.  But there are other instructors that teach Wordplay as well, and their lessons are excellent.

While watching the films is a terrific way to pick up life lessons, playing the entertaining activities also helps you increase your vocabulary and word knowledge. We’ve enjoyed participating in spelling bees in class and are now having a Scrabble tournament! This class meets every other day. We currently meet in Room 236 for Day 2s, Period 8, where Mr. Malossi smiles and is always prepared for fun.

Current Wordplay student, Lauren Kachadourian shares her opinion on the class. “My favorite part of Wordplay was definitely watching Akeelah and the Bee!””

Nora Kerrigan, who therefore does not take Wordplay, shared that, “My brother took Wordplay and loved it!”

Keira Penge said, “I love playing Scrabble in Wordplay, it’s so much fun!”

Wordplay is obviously a crowd favorite. Wordplay is an elective you should absolutely look into taking the next year!
