The Eagle’s Cry Suggests: Top 5 Fall Activities

The Eagle’s Cry Suggests: Top 5 Fall Activities

Fall has officially arrived and this The Eagle’s Cry writer is definitely excited! There are so many fun fall activities to do with friends or your significant other, so let’s take a look at some of the activities you can enjoy.

  • Getting Pumpkin Spice Lattes (PSL) !

Who doesn’t love a PSL? My personal favorites are the ones from Starbucks. I get it with the pumpkin cream cold foam, and it is the perfect taste of fall. On the other hand, junior Abigail O’Hara at BHS prefers “Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Dunkin only, Starbucks is good for everything but Pumpkin. You have to get it from Dunkin iced with no whipped cream.” Sounds good as well!

  • Going to a Pumpkin Patch/Apple Picking!

A pumpkin patch is the perfect excuse to wear a sweater, scarf and jeans, and get the best Instagram photos. Not only is it a perfect excuse to dress cute, but it’s a fun activity to take part in. Picking the perfect pumpkins to carve in order to decorate your home will make it so cozy for fall! Along the lines of that, apple picking is similar as it is filled with family, friends and fun (another excuse to wear a cute fall outfit). The apples brought home can be turned into apple pie or applesauce. Ultimately, whatever fall treats your heart desires! Both activities are also filled with delicious apple cider and treats to take home!

  • Reading a Book!

Grab a book, any book. Try to find a fall themed book, or a Halloween themed book, or even a thriller book. A fantasy could also be a great option as well as a romance, surrounding the fall months of course. Getting lost in the world of a book is the best feeling ever. After you pick your book, you can feel inclined to make a fire whether it is indoors or outdoors. This is a perfect fall activity for alone time or reading with a friend.

  • Carving Pumpkins

After you go to the pumpkin patch, take the pumpkin you brought home, and carve it. You can make whatever face or design you would like, it can be happy, scary, a Halloween design, or a classic jack-o-lantern.

BHS Junior Janna Shariff likes to carve “a scary face because with pumpkins you think of Halloween, you gotta do something scary.” You can add sharpies or paint for color but that is totally up to you. It is a fun fall/Halloween activity to participate in.

  • Baking Fall Cookies/ Watching a Movie

Those Pillsbury cookies are everyone’s favorites and I have yet to meet someone who does not like them. They have those cookies for every holiday or occasion, for fall they have footballs, pumpkins and ghosts. They are the cutest designs and super easy to make, all you have to do is pop them in the oven for a short amount of time. Then, you have the tastiest cookies ever. After they are done baking, you can put on a scary movie or a Disney Channel original, which are personally this The Eagle’s Cry writers favorites! Get a Halloween blanket, and a fire going and you have the perfect fall/Halloween night.

As you can see the students at BHS love fall! Also they enjoy the many activities to do during this pumpkin season. These are my top picks but there are so many more fun things to do. Happy Fall everyone!
