Brownstones Coffee has been all the rage recently, with pictures of their sweet breakfast food and flavored lattes filling timelines on Twitter and Instagram.  The Eagle’s Cry decided to visit this coffee shop and see what all the hype was about.

When this reporter arrived, she had to push through the crowd of people waiting to put a name in.  The 30-minute wait provided time to admire the decorations. The cute, little dining area held no more than 15 tables and felt like it belonged on Main Street USA in Disney World.  It was hung with antique decorations and neutral colors, giving it a welcoming, homey feel.

We were finally seated and handed menus.  Along with the sweet treats people have been raving about, Brownstones offers various other breakfast items along with an almost diner-like lunch menu.  All the food on the menu sounded mouthwatering, which led me and a friend to split the infamously delicious Cinnamon Swirl Pancakes and the Scramble Omelet.

When the food finally arrived, along with my White Mocha Latte, I felt like I was staring at something straight out of a cooking magazine, and it tasted even better than it looked.

BHS senior Kenny Cafiero ordered another notorious item: the “French Toast Fondue,” and had nothing but good things to say.  “They were amazing,” Kenny said. “The french toast bites alone were delicious; adding nutella to them just made them that much better.”

Overall, I give Brownstones a 5 out of 5 stars.  The atmosphere was cute and comfortable, the service was unbeatable, and the food was delectable. Give it a try.
