Seniors Madison Arthur and Sophia Donovan surveyed over 200 students and faculty on their favorite Music Artist or Band. While many people in Bethpage High School have different music tastes, 25 people chose the same person as their favorite.

Drake got 25 votes for favorite music artist, coming in first place; Tate McRae garnered 20 votes, coming in second place; and Zach Bryan got 11 votes coming in third place. BHS Senior Bella Brady said Tate McRae “makes amazing music and has good performance skills.”

There were many different artists chosen by students and faculty that only had one or two votes. BHS junior Matthew Brisette said he likes listening to Beethoven. He also said “I like Symphony No. 5 in C Minor, Op. 67 and Symphony No. 7 in A Major Op. 92. They are relaxing and I listen to them to unwind.” Next time you see Matthew Brisette before a varsity football game ask him what he is listening to in order to get ready!

After asking Ms. Hirsch Beckman what her favorite music artist or band was, she responded with “Blink 182,” saying “I thought I could be a skater girl when I was younger.” 

A lot of teachers were surprised to find out that other teachers or students had similar music interests. Mrs. Oak said, “this is really hard…but probably Chris Stapleton.” When she found out that Ms. Salcedo said the same thing, she was shocked and excited; she never knew she had this in common with Ms. Salcedo.
