On September 3rd, the French club had their first meeting for the 2025-2026 school year in Room 219. This year, the French club has a new advisor, Madame Costello! Madame Costello is thrilled to be running the French club this year. 

She shared that, “Francophone language and culture is really important to me. It’s something that makes my life really beautiful.” 

Madame Costello is most excited for “the ability to get to know my students better, and then to explore more about French culture, francophone culture.’’ We are very interested to see how the French club will be this year, with this change. We will continue doing the events we did last year, however there may be even more than the usual French club activities to look forward to this year. 

For instance, Sotiria Panago, the French Club President, stated, “We are planning to do some type of city trip this year.’’

Join this club to be a part of a fun, French community. Everyone is welcome, no matter what language class you take in school. At our meetings plan our next events, and discuss activities we  will have at future meetings. For example, every year we organize a booth for Halloween on the Field. 

The French club president, Sotiria Panago said, “We usually go all out, and have a really fun stand, and it’s really fun interacting with the kids and spreading French culture.”

We also do several bake sales throughout the year. At our bake sales, we have delicious crepes and a lot of good desserts that the members of the French club bake. If you like French culture, or just having fun with friends, come to Room 219 every Wednesday to be a part of our club!
