The hit mystery-comedy series on Hulu, Only Murders in the Building, stars Selena Gomez, Steve Martin, and Martin Short. Since its release in 2021, the show has received over 200 award nominations and 36 wins. Currently, there are four seasons, with a fifth being teased. The show also features multiple guest appearances including Tina Fey, Paul Rudd, and many more. Meryl Streep also made her first appearance in season three, and eventually became a regular. 

The series surrounds 3 strangers, Mabel, Charles, and Oliver, who live in the same apartment, The Arconia, and share a love for true-crime podcasts. All of a sudden, they find themselves investigating and creating their own podcast, based on a murder that happens in their own apartment building. A new character each season who is connected to someone in the trio is murdered and although it is difficult sometimes, they are always able to uncover the mystery and unmask the murderer.

A fellow writer for the Eagles Cry also loves this show. Sophia Marullo feels that the mix between comedy and mystery helps make the show as great as it is. She also loves the fact that the revealing of the murderer at the end of each season adds such a fun twist because most of the time the killer is unexpected. With this being said, we both agree that if you haven’t seen this show yet it is a must watch!
