On Sunday December 8, 2024 Taylor Swift played the final show of the Eras Tour. Taylor has been on tour since March 17, 2023 playing 149 shows – 484 hours– in 21 countries, over 5 continents. For those Swifties who measure time in All Too Well 10 minute versions, Taylor performed 25 hours of ATW on tour.
The Eras Tour wasn’t just a concert, it was a cultural phenomenon. Over 10 million fans attended the three hour long concert, people of all ages and backgrounds came together for the concert of a lifetime. It truly is more than a concert. Amazing dancers, costumes, and sets transport fans to each era and 9 of her 10 albums: Fearless, Speak Now, 1989, Reputation, Lover, Folklore, Evermore, Midnights, and finally The Tortured Poets Department.
Senior Julia Baumbach said, “It was one of the best days ever, and the best concert I’ve ever been to.”
Each night Taylor played two acoustic surprise songs, not on the regular set list. Later in the tour she played “mashups” of songs from different eras. Some lucky fans had special guests during the acoustic set including, Gracie Abrams and Sabrina Carpenter.
Taylor also had amazing opening acts including, Gracie Abrams, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA, HAIM, and Paramor
e to name a few. She also performed “Nothing New” with Phoebe Bridgers during the first half of the U.S. tour.
Although fans are sad to see the Eras Tour come to an end, luckily we have the Eras Tour Movie, Official Book, and the entire TS discography to enjoy!
And remember… It was the end of an ERA but the start of an age!
