Clubs:
- Senior class will meet Thursday after school in Room 103. We’ll discuss additional fundraising opportunities to lower the cost of prom tickets.
- We will have a Junior Class meeting TOMORROW at 2:30 pm in Ms. Kugler’s room. It’s the holiday season and the Marine Science Club is selling Candy Grams TOMORROW and Thursday, December 12th outside of the cafeteria during periods 5 through 7. Candy grams are $3 each.
- The BHS Drama Club’s interest meeting for this year’s spring musical, The Drowsy Chaperone, is for everyone—whether you want to be onstage, backstage, in AV, or part of the orchestra. Join us TODAY, from 2:45 to 3:45 PM in the Theatre. We can’t wait to see you there!”
- The math team has their third meet TODAY after school. The internship club will meet Thursday, December 12th in room 114. Please see Ms. Kugler with any questions – all are welcome. - Cabaret Night is coming up soon!!!! Auditions are TOMORROW. Sign up for an audition using the QR codes on the posters in the hallway and outside the Music Department classrooms.
- Join us on the annual BHS Ski trip to Gore mountain in the Adirondacks (add-uh-ron-dacks) on Sunday February 2nd. The time to sign up is NOW. Scan one of the flyers around the school or in the google classroom.
- Happy International Alfred Nobel Day!
- The yearbook staff will take sibling group photos during homeroom this week. Seniors who have a brother or sister in BHS please report to the lobby at the START of homeroom. Don’t miss out. We only have a few minutes to gather and take the group picture so please arrive as homeroom begins. TODAY is Seniors and Junior siblings; TOMORROW is Seniors and Sophomore siblings; and Thursday is Seniors and Freshmen siblings.
- Blood drive sign-ups are NOW. The drive is Thursday, December 12. You must be at least 16 with a permission slip to donate. Scan the QR code on any of the posters around the building to make an appointment.
- Attention Chemists! Challenge yourself with some college-level chemistry on the Chemistry Olympiad Exam! See Ms. Flanagan in Room 212 no later than Friday, December 13th.
Sports:
- Boys bowling swept Massapequa all three games in yesterday’s match. The Eagles offense was led by James Costanzo with a 633 series. Backup was provided by Mike Macholz with a 205 in game one and Tommy Langan’s 207 in game three.
- We are proud to announce that our girls’ varsity volleyball won the Nassau County Officials’ Sportsmanship Award presented to our captains last night. Also, Allie O’Shea won the prestigious Fran Nocella Award for work ethics, leadership, sportsmanship, & scholastics. Allie received All County as well, while Samantha Cossaro and Alexa Galletti received All County Honorable Mention Award, and Sotiria Panagos received the Scholar Athlete Award. Congratulations!
- Girls Varsity Basketball hosts Hewlett at 5pm. Boys varsity swim dives in against Port Washington today at 5.
