A common complaint here at BHS is that our opinionated students cannot vote in the presidential election; recently, TEC allowed BHS to share their political stances. In October, The Eagle’s Cry published a presidential election poll that closed on election day.

Our BHS election was a huge success with almost 500 votes recorded, which is about on-par with national turnout!

The Eagle’s Cry predicted reality: Donald Trump’s win. Former President Trump defeated Vice President Harris in the BHS election 312 to 153 votes.

Strangely, former President Trump received 312 electoral votes– the same EXACT number as the TEC poll– and Vice President Harris received 226 electoral votes.

Although the BHS election has no real significance, it was a great way to see where our school stands on the political spectrum. Additionally, we would like to thank the BHS students for remaining respectful, despite differing opinions throughout the election season. Keep an eye out for more polls on The Eagle’s Cry home page!
