2024 has been filled with new trends, TV shows, and pop culture moments, which have brought many new costume ideas to light. We interviewed students to see what their expectations for Halloween costumes this year are. Here are some of their predictions:
Caroline Murphy, a sophomore at BHS, expects “to see a lot of people dressed as Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega” from Sabrina’s viral “Taste” music video this year.
Another Eagles Cry writer, Sophia Marullo, thinks, “Glinda and Elpheba from the new Wicked movie will be a popular costume.”
Caryn Cho believes that the Rhyme Without Reason trend where you wear costumes that rhyme will be a popular choice.
Amanda Schnieder and Khloe Baker anticipate seeing many people dressed as pirates and princesses.
“I think Chappel Roan will also be a common costume this Halloween,” says Adriana Pace.
Overall, many students have different predictions for what costumes will be popular this year. Happy Halloween!
