Postseason spot clinched! American League East Champions! Number 1 seed in American League! Who led the Yankees there? Aaron Judge
So when it comes to the postseason it’s Judge who led them to the World Series right? Well, no. So far in the postseason Judge has been nonexistent. He is batting .140 with a horrific 34% strikeout percentage. A stark difference from his 54 home run regular season.
With the Yankees on the brink of collapse, Yankee fans across the school are calling on Judge to wake up from the dead. Senior Matias Goncalves explained, “The Yankees can’t win a World Series without Judge, he’s got to wake up.”
Then there are some fans who are angry. James Costanso said, “For someone making $300 million dollars he sure is horrible. They should take away his captaincy.”
On the contrary, Mets fans across the building are loving the struggle. Tommy Lagan, a senior here at BHS said, “I love watching the Yankees implode almost as much as I love watching the Jets implode. Judge’s slump proves to me that the Mets are better than the Yankees.”
It’s clear that fans across the school are counting on Judge to wake up before tonight’s Game 4 matchup. On the edge of getting swept Judge needs to wake up if he wants to save his team from being embarrassed on a national level.
