It’s late October, and as the leaves are changing into a warm color, Halloween is approaching. This means it’s time for people to choose their costumes. Some students have ideas about Halloween plans and what to wear for this spooky holiday.
Every year, students traditionally dress up as celebrities or as their favorite characters from movies or TV shows. But what makes this year relatively interesting is what kind of costumes will be displayed from this year’s shows or movies. With released movies such as Beetlejuice and Deadpool & Wolverine, the costumes may be better than last year. Today, we talked to BHS English teacher Mr. Malossi and BHS senior Lauren Kachadorian.
The Eagles’ Cry: Which characters will you be dressing up as for this year’s Halloween?
Mr. Malossi: “I dislike Halloween and dressing up in general, but there’s many teachers who do…”
Lauren: “Queen of Hearts”
The Eagles’ Cry: Do you plan on trick or treating or going to any parties for Halloween?
Mr. Malossi: “I’m not going to trick or treating this year, but my daughter will.”
Lauren: “I’m going to a party.”
The Eagles’ Cry: Which costumes will you be looking forward to seeing?
Mr. Malossi: “I like original costumes in the halls of BHS. I remember one year a kid dressed up as a banana. I chuckled.”
Lauren: “Couple costumes are the best…because they’re cute.”
The Eagles’ Cry: In your opinion, what is the best matching costume for a duo?
Mr. Malossi: “The Lorax and the tree.”
Lauren: “Cop and a robber is a classic.”
The Eagles’ Cry: What is your favorite candy/candies to receive during Halloween?
Mr. Malossi: “Reese’s peanut butter cups. Last year I ate an unhealthy number of those.”
Lauren: “Chocolate bars, like Hershey’s.”
The Eagles’ Cry: Do you have any recommendations for movies to watch on Halloween?
Mr. Malossi: “Halloween the original movie…and Halloween 2.”
Lauren: “Any of the Scream franchise movies.”
