BHS Marine Fitness Takes on NATIONALS

BHS+Marine+Fitness+Takes+on+NATIONALS

On May 18th the Bethpage Marine Fitness team competed at the national championship in Little Rock, Arkansas. It was an amazing day for all participants.

The Bethpage Girls Team won first place with a score of 1604 keeping the seven year national champion streak alive. The girls dominated the competition winning by over 200 points in the Arkansas heat and humidity.

The Bethpage Boys placed third in the nation. An impressive placement against extremely tough competition from ROTC programs and high schools in the nation.

In addition to these team achievements, Bethpage earned individual hardware as well. Aidan Landers placed 3rd, Nora Kerrigan placed 3rd, Grace Severin placed 2nd, and Devyn Sparke was the 1st place NATIONAL CHAMPION.

Shoutout to our coaches, Mr. Como and Gianna Davillas, as Captain Devyn Sparke said, “we could not accomplish any of this without their support and guidance.”

Clearly, Bethpage was well represented in Arkansas. Look out for announcements to join this amazing program next fall.
