Hardest APs
AP Biology is a science class that is offered to all grades except ninth. The first semester is on cellular biology, and the second semester is on organisms and their classification. Some members of the Eagle’s Cry said “the class is on a whole new level” and “it requires a lot of self-study in order to do well.”
AP Calc BC is different from AP Calc AB. AB has topics from geometry to calculus, while BC has all of that, plus polynomial approximations and series. This class also has a second period, or “lab.”
AP World History is only offered to tenth graders, and it is a continuation of Pre-AP World History. Students are required to analyze historical events worldwide. An anonymous sophomore said, “We don’t take notes, which makes understanding the topics really difficult.”
Easiest APS
AP Seminar is an English class where students research topics that interest them and use what they find to make a big presentation to show to the class later in the year, which is then sent to the College Board. A sophomore said that her “teachers were super helpful and laid-back.” A junior that took the class last year said, “It’s the easiest class because the work isn’t too time-consuming and there are set deadlines for the assignments.”
AP Research is a continuation of AP Seminar if a student is on track for a Capstone Diploma. It was said to be the easiest by a junior because “there aren’t any quizzes or tests, and most of the work is based on your research paper.” You get to choose the topic that you want to write your research paper on, and other students are included in your research.
AP Psychology is a class where students explore the behaviors of people, disorders, and more. Many say that the material is very easy to understand and digest. They believe that the class is very interesting and never boring.
