Everyone knows about the insanely popular league that is the National Hockey League. Recently, they announced that there would be a Professional Womens’ Hockey League. 

Personally, I am very excited about this opportunity for women but… the jerseys could be way better. As a girl who enjoys watching hockey, the jerseys are just plain embarrassing.

As soon as the jerseys were shown, many on the internet were quick to complain. The Eagle’s Cry interviewed BHS students and more on these new jerseys.

When I asked BHS junior, Giselle D’Aleo her opinion, she said that “they’re ugly” and even questioned the dark coloring of the jerseys. 

My dad, Jimmy Neamonitis, believes that the Ottawa team’s jersey is the best one.

An anonymous BHS junior believes that “it’s embarrassing that we have waited so long for a professional womens’ league and for the jerseys to look like that.” She then adds that “the NHL jerseys are so much better, even the absolute ugliest ones.”
