Did you know that Bethpage High School has a golf team? Meet Zach, one of BHS’s golfers and also a sports editor at The Eagle’s Cry. Zach’s Varsity golf team is led by science teacher and excellent golfer Mr. Tauriello.
Recently, The Eagle’s Cry sat down with Zach to get to know a little bit about him and his experiences on the golf team.
THE EAGLE’S CRY: What made you join the golf team?
Zach Fradella: “I played golf a lot over the summer, and didn’t want to play school soccer anymore, so I figured I’d try golf.”
Do you play any other sports?
“I play baseball for school, and outside of school, I play soccer.”
What baseball position do you play?
“I play first base, pitcher, and outfield.”
Where do you and your golf team practice?
“At the Bethpage State Park Driving Range about once a week.”
Have you had any matches yet?
“I’ve had two matches. Three have gotten postponed, and I was 1-1.”
What is the attire for golf match?
