After a summer of fun activities and many memories made, The Eagles Cry takes a closer look at what Bethpage High School students did during their break from school.
When asked how her summer was, Eva Neamonitis responds, “My summer was good, but it went by too quickly”. We’re sure most students agree that this past summer flew by, but we’re happy to get back into the routine of school.
Nora Kerrigan, a junior at BHS, says, “I spent most of my summer lifeguarding and being a camp counselor”. Although summer jobs may seem boring, they can be very rewarding and beneficial, especially for students around the same age as Nora.
At Bethpage High School, most practices for sports begin in the summer before school even starts. Julia Baumbach, a cheerleader at BHS, says “I spent the end of my summer at cheer practice, and I also went to Punta Cana in July”. It’s important to balance sports with school and other activities that you enjoy doing, like Julia did with her traveling and cheer practice.
When asked if he liked July or August better this summer, Zach Fradella responds “July because I went to Florida and played a lot of baseball”. Zach is another great example of someone who can manage personal interests with sports and school
We hope everyone had a great summer and a warm welcome back to BHS these past couple of weeks. We are surely excited to be back in the classroom, updating The Eagles Cry with students’ interests and news here at BHS!
