NFL PREDICTIONS WITH ACKERLY & MERTZ: WEEK ELEVEN

Hello there, and welcome back to NFL predictions with Robbie Ackerly and James Mertz. Mertz and I have been running this ship since Week 4, so by now you know the drill. Let’s find out what happened last week.

Last Weeks Locks

They call em’ locks for a reason. Mr.Mertz and I both succeeded in selecting a game last week that was a locked in victory for the team of our choosing. I went with the New York G-Men and James went with the Kansas City Chiefs. Both got it done this past Sunday.

Last Weeks Upsets

Well, this is upsetting. Mertz nailed his upset as Jeff Saturday led his men straight through Las Vegas and the Indianapolis Colts defeated the Raiders. However I had too much faith in a Jacoby ‘Brisket’ led Cleveland Browns team, as Cleveland was absolutely dismantled on Sunday by an embarrassing final score of 39-17.

Total Results

Rough day at the office. In a week where we saw the mighty Eagles fall and the NFL game of the year between the Bills and Vikings, Mertz and I could barely predict anything. Mertz got the win however with a mid 7-7, while I dropped into the negatives with a sorry 6-8. With that the yearly totals now sit at

68-33 and 62-39, still in Mertz’s favor, of course.

Week 11

With Week 10 behind us, it is time to give our Week 11 predictions

I’ll start this thing off.

Ackerly’s Lock Of The Week

The Baltimore Ravens have been one of America’s top teams thus far. The Ravens are coming off a bye and are playing at home this week. Led by superstar quarterback Lamar Jackson the Ravens should doubtlessly defeat the issue riddled Carolina Panthers this Sunday, as Lamar continues to state his case for top tier payment.

Ackerly’s Upset Alert!

The New York Jets sit at 6-3. This has been a Jets team that has definitely turned some heads. New York football is back and is better than ever. The New York Jets this week face archrival New England Patriots, a team they have lost to thirteen straight times. The Patriots since 2016 have absolutely owned the New York Jets, which was the main driving factor in the Patriots being favorites, along with their Week 8 matchup going in the Patriots’ favor. Despite that, this Jets team has beaten the Bills and the Packers this season. This team loves to fight and this is the perfect underdog story. After thirteen straight losses to the New England Patriots, they’re definitely due.

Mertzy, now it’s your turn

Mertz’s Lock Of The Week

Justin Fields has been playing like a man possessed over the last four weeks, yet the Bears have only one game in that span. This Chicago team is due to put it all together and get themselves a win and it will come versus a struggling Atlanta Falcons team. On Sunday, the Bears will roll through Atlanta with a W.

Mertz’s Upset Alert!

The Dallas Cowboys are coming off a heartbreaking loss last week to the Packers. While the Vikings won the Game of the Year in Buffalo. I’m feeling a let down spot for Minnesota while Dallas gets back on track with an upset victory. And I’ll throw a prediction out there that Dak Prescott throws for 400 yards and 3 touchdowns.
