Orlando, Florida is considered the theme park capital of the globe, frequently visited by tourists from all over the world. Universal Studios is one of their biggest and most well known theme parks they have to offer. Not only is Universal one of the largest in size, but it is also a favorite among teens. Though Universal offers rides for small children, their general audience is really targeted towards teens and adults. This theme park is full of all different types of rides of all different people, meaning everyone has different favorites. Here are the top 5 favorite rides from the students and teachers at Bethpage High School.
- ) The Incredible Hulk
The Incredible Hulk is a high speed, looping roller coaster located in the Islands Of Adventure. It has been labeled as the park’s most intense roller coaster and one of the most intense in all of Orlando. This ride includes seven inversions and a launch that takes you up to 67 mph in less than three seconds. It has been a favorite of many since the park opened in 1999. Nine out of thirty people interviewed voted this ride as their number one choice as the intensity and its iconic theme. Everyone who voted this ride as number one on their list were students, making this ride a teen favorite.
- ) Harry Potter and The Forbidden Journey
This thrilling ride helped begin the development of the Wizarding World Of Harry Potter at Universal. The Forbidden Journey is also located in Islands Of Adventure and is considered one of the highest themed rides in all of Florida, as it actually operates inside the Hogwarts castle. In this ride you are put in a motion simulator which gives you the experience of riding on a broomstick with Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Draco Malfoy and other characters on a high speed adventure. You come into contact with dragons, dementors, spiders, and the Whomping Willow. Before you even embark in this adventure, you have to wait in one of the most highly developed line queues ever built. You walk through Hogwarts and see many of the iconic characters before boarding on the ride.

The Revenge Of The Mummy is an indoor roller coaster based on the movie. You are taken through a show of animatronics and then launched into a pitch black coaster with accelerations, climbing, tilting, dropping, and backwards motion. Even though this ride is over 15 years old, it is still a classic that resonates with almost everyone in the park. This ride utilizes special effects throughout the whole ride, including fog, smoke, and fire. This ride is an all-time fan favorite that you should not miss on your next trip to Universal.
2.) Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit
This ride holds some of the most thrills in all of Florida. This is a roller coaster where guests face a 17 story, 90 degree lift hill, then plunge 167 feet down into a massive coaster. This ride is considered one of the most technologically impressive rides built because riders can pick music to listen to while experiencing the ride. Guests can pick between genres like classic rock, heavy metal, club electronica, country, rap, hip hop, pop, and disco. They also offer a secret menu for annual passholders. On the ride, they even record you and take pictures throughout the ride to capture your experience. This is a high tech ride that you don’t want to miss.

The newest addition to the Universal Studios Resort takes the top spot as the favorite and best ride. This Harry Potter themed roller coaster located in Islands Of Adventure and it is easily the most high-tech ride Universal has produced. It includes animatronics, multiple launches, a 90 degree backwards drop, and an elevator plummet throughout the three minute ride. You encounter all different types of magical creatures with Hagrid like centaurs, unicorns, Fluffy the Three Headed Dog, cornish pixies, and more. This is the most popular attraction in all of Universal and 15 out of 30 people said that this ride is their favorite and newcomers should be sure not to miss it.
