Peter Schimmel: Baseball MVP

BHS’s own Peter Schimmel was recently named MVP of Nassau baseball’s A3 conference. He received 307 out of the 875 votes, for 35% of the total vote. The vote, casted on Twitter by Nassau baseball, included Peter and three other players, from Plainedge, Southside, and Hewlett. Mr. Schimmel has played ball for twelve years, three years on Bethpage’s varsity team.

As a team, the Bethpage Golden Eagles achieved great  success this year. They won their conference for the first time since 2013, with a 12-3 record. They now look towards counties, a feat Bethpage has not won since 1986.
