Bethpage High School Recognized as a Reward School
On February 1, a list of Reward Schools in New York was released by the state Education Department. In order to be named a Reward School, a school needs to have completed a combination of accomplishments. This includes scoring in the top 20 percent in English Language Arts and math statewide, as well as other score gains.
Receiving this recognition is an honor to the entire staff at Bethpage High School. It displays the hard work and dedication they all contribute to the school.
English teacher, Ms.Treadwell thinks “It is a great achievement for Bethpage High School to be recognized for the achievements made by their wonderful students and amazing teachers.”
Additionally, guidance counselor, Mr. Benjamin explained, “It’s no surprise to me that we received this designation. Bethpage has it all — Academics, a tight community, and options for all students to pursue their passions.”
Everyone should feel proud of this recognition given to Bethpage High School, and continue to work hard to better the school even further.
