The Bethpage ice hockey team will take on Bellmore-Merrick tonight on home ice at 6:15. Sitting in second place with a 3-1 record, The Eagles will face off against a tough Bellmore-Merrick team coming off its first win of the season over Long Beach on Monday, 7-4.

Bethpage has played well so far this season, only suffering one loss to Long Beach. Phillip Rapaglia has played well for Bethpage in the net, allowing just three goals all season. Senior forward Trevor Salerno has dominated on the ice, scoring four goals in the first four games of the season. Mark Bellando is also performing extremely well, netting two goals on the young season.

Based primarily around goaltending, the offensive outburst has been a surprise to both the team and their fans. The offense has also surprised their opposition, since in the past, Bethpage hasn’t been known for their offense.
