Bethpage Girls Volleyball Sweeps Key Game 3-0 Against Glen Cove
Last night, the Bethpage Girls Volleyball team added one more win to their record during a key pre-playoff game. Glen Cove came to Bethpage with a 4-7 record and left with a 4-8. With most of the teams fiercely vying for a playoff spot, this win put Bethpage back in the running.
Captain Lauren Bloom said, “We have played well the last few games, and it is nice to finally see it pay off with a ‘W.’”
As her fellow captain, I completely agree with Lauren. This team has worked hard this whole season and has played with so much heart, so it was finally time for a win.
Emily Katz agreed: “We played so well! This is how we should be playing all the time. We played to the max, and we finished the job!”
There are three games left in the season. Jericho, Calhoun, and Carey will all be traveling to Bethpage to face the Golden Eagles. With each win the team piles up down the home stretch, their odds of a playoff seed drastically increase.
