Sports Report 10/6/15
Boys Soccer
The boys team picked up a huge win 3-0 on Tuesday at Lawrence as it looks to continue its hot streak of wins. After three quick goals in a span of 20 minutes of the first half, the team shutdown on defense allowing fewer than 10 shots on goal. Coach Franzke commented that “It’s important to get the win against teams that are struggling this late in the season”. The team moves to 4-2-1 and looks to continue their winning streak as they play Levittown Division Wednesday night.
Girls Soccer
The girls team also picked up a 3-0 win Tuesday night against Clarke; this is the second time this year the girls have shut out Clarke. With goals scored by Carmyn Roeller, Gabriella Skreli and Valentina Bastidas the team never looked back as the kept a clean sheet in the win. Tomorrow, October 8th, the girls will go out for their eighth win of the season on the road against West Hempstead.
Girls Tennis
The tennis team picked up another win on Tuesday against Hempstead winning 5-2, moving to 8-0 overall in the conference. The team’s next game is home against Freeport today, October 7th, as it closes in on its last few games of the regular season.
